Increasingly, young adults use social media as their main source of news. Unfortunately, content on social media is unregulated and can contain false information which can be harmful to individuals and society. Unfold is a plug-in that uses artificial intelligence and advanced algorithms to scan and identify false information circulating on social media platforms. The plug-in notifies the user when a piece of misleading content is presented on their social media platforms.
The objective of the tool is to allow users to use social media to learn about the world in a safe and more regulated way. As part of this project, a campaign and a website was designed to promote the plug-in.
